The agreement

This is the whole agreement, in plain language — no separate small print. You’ll be asked to accept it before your code is analyzed, and you can read every word of it here first, without an account.

You're contracting with Kind Robots LLC, an Indiana company, under Indiana law. Submitted code is analyzed in isolation and deleted after the retention window; we don't share it outside Kind Robots unless you buy a service that requires it and confirm first; the outside companies we use are listed on our Privacy page.

Who you're agreeing with

This agreement is between you and Kind Robots LLC, an Indiana limited liability company, at 12175 Visionary Way, Fishers, IN 46038, USA. "We", "us" and "Kind Robots" mean Kind Robots LLC throughout. If you need to reach us about this agreement, or about anything else, write to support@kindrobots.ai.

You're allowed to submit this code

You confirm you own this code or are authorized to have it analyzed. Please don't submit anyone else's code without permission.

Use it fairly — no attacks or abuse

Don't submit code that's meant to harm, probe, or attack our systems, and don't use the service to break the law or anyone else's rights. We run every submission in a locked-down, isolated space, but you're agreeing not to try.

Your code is isolated, then deleted

Your code is analyzed in an isolated, single-use environment with no connection to anything else. We don't share your source code outside Kind Robots unless you buy a service that requires it — and when a service does, we tell you what gets sent and who receives it before you buy, and ask you to confirm. What those companies do and don't keep is on our Privacy page. After a short retention window, the submitted code is automatically and permanently deleted. Your report is kept so you can return to it.

The outside companies we use

A few outside companies handle one narrow piece each — writing the plain-language wording of your report, sending account emails, and taking payment. The current list, and exactly what each one receives, is on our Privacy page (kindrobots.ai/legal/privacy), linked from the footer.

Findings are guidance, not guarantees

Analysis surfaces issues we can find — it can't prove your code is free of every problem. Use the report as expert guidance to act on, not as a warranty or certification.

You own what we deliver

The report, and any tests we generate, are yours to keep and use. We don't claim ownership of your code or your deliverables.

Which state's law applies

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

How to check this hasn’t changed

Every version of this agreement is fixed and identified by a fingerprint of its exact text. When you accept, we record which version you accepted, when, and that fingerprint — so the agreement you agreed to can always be identified precisely, and we can’t quietly reword it afterwards. Editing any word produces a different fingerprint and a new version; the old one stays exactly as it was.

The agreement above points at our Privacy page for the current list of outside companies that handle any part of your data, and exactly what each one receives — along with what we collect from you, and for how long. That list is kept off the agreement so it can be corrected the same day it changes, which is also why the agreement points at it rather than naming companies inside text that can never be edited.
